Being mindful at work

Updated: Jan 13

Why would being mindful at work help you, and are you up for trying it for a month?

It took me a long time to learn to work smarter not harder and that sometimes less is more. So thinking about those things and being mindful specifically at work. The thing is by being mindful at work you can move through the day with less mistakes and accidents. When we operate doing things so quickly and running from task to task we use a lot of energy and often fumble having to redo a task and exerting more energy in the long run. So if we can stop and be present with each task, which means not thinking about what your are doing next or what you did before than you are present.

“You should sit in meditation for twenty minutes everyday - unless you're too busy; then you should sit for an hour.”

-Zen Proverb

this is why it is so important to meditate. Think of the brain like a computer and if it is running all the time at fast speeds it overheats and sometimes fries the motherboard. So being present and making time during one of your breaks to meditate consistently can be life altering.

The Mindful Meditation Challenge

Starting out each day with a 10 minute meditation.

The second thing will be to stop at the beginning of each new task with a pause of three deep breathes arriving into the new task.

Yes it’s that simple two things and I want you to see how it shifts your work in such a positive way.
